Kresge Centennial Hall (1955) was built to commemorate Northwestern's 100th anniversary and named for the Kresge Foundation. A five-story addition, Crowe Hall, was later built on the south side of Kresge Hall. Today, Kresge and Crowe house programs in the humanities.

Linda Koops has broad interests beyond managing our departmental business affairs. She is studying Turkish and previously studied Spanish in Mexico. She holds an International Teaching Certificate in TEFL and a Certificate in Web Design. She has lived, worked, and traveled in Mexico, Nicaragua, Australia, Spain, and the Caribbean. Linda has co-led tours throughout Turkey, traveling by bus and gulet to its ancient sites, as well as spending time in Istanbul, touring Northern Cyprus, Greece, the islands of Santorini, Crete, Rhodes, Kos, and Patmos, and Cnidus on the Datça Peninsula.
