The Department of Classics at Northwestern University invites applications for an appointment as Lecturer in Greek and Latin, beginning September 2010.

This is a one-year position. Pending performance and institutional need it may be renewed. The successful candidate must be able to teach Greek and Latin (at all levels), tutor, and contribute to a growing program.  

In addition to membership in the Department of Classics, the successful candidate will also be a member of Northwestern's Classical Traditions Initiative (CTI), a multi-disciplinary forum for discussion of the cultures of antiquity and their reception. A demonstrated interest in classical reception studies is a plus. Ph.D. required at the time of appointment.

We will not interview at APA.
